Our product is a 3 step chemical process formulated for the cleaning of plastic headlights.

Step1
is an specially formulated plastic cleaner. This is where all dirt, road grime, deep scratches, and decayed plastic gets cleaned off, exposing the layers of plastic that are still in good condition.

Step2
is a secondary plastic cleaner/polish. Using this step further removes minor scratches and abrasion that Step1 leaves behind, leaving the plastic in the "crystal" clear condition.

Step3
is a high grade UV (ulta-violet) polish/protectant. This step prevents the corrosion and yellowed look from comming back. So far, the very first pair of headlights that we restored (November 2004), are still clean and free from this corrosion.

On some vehicles there is a clear coat sprayed on the headlight lenses before it leaves the factory. This clear coat works well on paint. However, in three to four years, the plastic headlights, on which it is sprayed, begin to loose their show room luster. In five to six years the yellowing and hazing  is not removable with just soap and water. For this progressed decay, a process known as "wet sanding" is necessary. This involves the application of sand paper and water to the headlight itself, scraping away the clear coat and the decayed plastic underneath. When you order a CrystaLenz kit the proper grit sandpaper will be included at no extra charge. After the wet sanding process is complete, the headlight is ready for our three step chemical application.

On numerous occasions we've restored headlights that were "cleaned" by body shops and other automotive maintenance locations. The method that some body shops use only temporarliy covers up the problem. Using buffers and other power tools, the headlight plastic gets burned and scratched. With our product, there is no need for power tools, therefore eliminating the risk of ruining the headlights.
